International Women’s Day at Kino Praha in Warsaw

On March 8th, we met at Kino Praha for a special event titled “Women Behind the Camera – International Women’s Day at Kino Praha”, dedicated to highlighting the work and experiences of women in the film industry. The evening offered both a celebratory and reflective space, focusing on the evolving role of women in the audiovisual sector and the challenges they continue to navigate.

The event opened with a screening of “No Ghosts on Dobra Street”, directed by Emi Buchwald, followed by a panel discussion bringing together Anna Łuka (Editor), Ewa Mroczkowska (Production Designer), Patrycja Kycia (Production Manager), and Anna Komosa (Production Coordinator). The conversation was moderated by film critic Anna Tatarska, who invited the panelists to share their professional journeys and insights into working within the film industry. The event concluded with the screening of “Alpha” directed by Julia Ducournau.
