Recap from Female Landsapce 2025 in ŁÓDŹ, POLAND

On 22 November 2025, we gather in the NCKF Cinema for the 3rd edition of Female Landscape: Women’s Landscape in Cinema, an event initiated in 2022 in cooperation with Potsdam, a UNESCO City of Film.

The idea behind the project is to create a space for exchanging professional knowledge and experience among women working in film from different countries. This year, additional UNESCO Creative Cities of Film, Valladolid, Vicente López, and Wellington, have joined the initiative. The protagonists of this year’s edition will be women creators working in animated film. Screenings of short animations from the four Creative Cities of Film will be accompanied by discussions and meetings.

The organizers of FEMALE LANDSCAPE: WOMEN’S LANDSCAPE IN CINEMA are: Łódź, Potsdam, Valladolid, Vicente López, and Wellington - UNESCO Creative Cities of Film, the National Centre for Film Culture in Łódź, and Thalia Cinema in Potsdam. The project curators are Monika Marlicka-Robert, Tomasz Poborca, and Lisa Nawrocki.

Poster design by Agnieszka Sobczyńska (@jazzposterka).

The event partner is the non-profit organization “Women In Film & Television Poland”.

The project is co-financed by the City of Łódź as part of the Łódź UNESCO City of Film programme.
